Upgradeable plate readers

The Omega Plate Reader Series offer true flexibility to provide you with the perfect reader to fulfil your requirements: from an absorbance-only SPECTROstar or luminescence-only LUMIstar to a fully-equipped POLARstar Omega with up to seven detection modes. Your chosen instrument can also be upgraded at any time if you need more features or additional detection modes.

POLARstar Omega

The POLARstar® Omega is the fully-equipped Omega-series microplate reader, offering all the features of a FLUOstar Omega, and in addition fluorescence polarization. Equipped with BMG LABTECH’s ultra-fast UV/vis spectrometer and Simultaneous Dual Emission detection, the POLARstar Omega represents a great combination of performance and flexibility for life science applications.

The POLARstar Omega is a versatile, filter-based multi-mode microplate reader with seven detection modes:
fluorescence intensity (including FRET), fluorescence polarization, luminescence (including BRET), UV/vis absorbance, time-resolved fluorescence, TR-FRET, and AlphaScreen® /AlphaLISA®.

FLUOstar Omega

Filter-based multi-mode microplate reader

The FLUOstar® Omega is a multi-mode microplate reader with six detection modes. It utilizes an ultra-fast UV/vis spectrometer or filters for absorbance as well as highly sensitive filters for all other detection modes. The FLUOstar Omega is the ideal plate reader for life science applications.

LUMIstar Omega

Dedicated microplate luminometer

The LUMIstar® Omega is BMG LABTECH’s powerful dedicated luminescence microplate reader, providing highly sensitive flash and glow assay readings. This DLReady-certified microplate reader can also come equipped with Simultaneous Dual Emission for BRET applications, and can be further upgraded to a
multi-mode reader.

The LUMIstar Omega is a dedicated reader for luminescence measurements, including BRET. It provides highly sensitive readings of all luminescence applications in end-point and kinetic assays. Moreover, a built-in filter wheel and the optional Simultaneous Dual Emission detection make multiple wave length detection and BRET applications possible.

SPECTROstar Omega

Absorbance plate reader with ultrafast UV/vis spectrometer

The SPECTROstar® Omega is a dedicated absorbance microplate reader that can capture a full absorbance spectrum (220 – 1000 nm) in less than 1 second per well – no scanning needed. This upgradeable reader offers the highest flexibility for optimizing settings for all absorbance-based assays. The LVis Plate compatibility allows for low-volume sample measurements.

The SPECTROstar Omega is a dedicated absorbance microplate reader that can capture either a full-absorbance spectrum or up to eight discrete wavelengths simultaneously. Upgrades can transform the SPECTROstar Omega into a powerful multi-mode reader with up to seven detection modes, Simultaneous Dual Emission and injectors.
